Several necessary and insufficient conditions for avoiding hydraulic cylinder malfunctions

When we use products such as electrical appliances or machinery in our daily lives, there are usually instructions that remind us to read the instructions before use, which are necessary and insufficient conditions to avoid their failure. In other words, it is necessary to protect the product from human damage when using it. Today we will talk about several necessary and non sufficient conditions for preventing hydraulic cylinders from malfunctioning. The brief description is as follows:

1. The hardness of the hydraulic cylinder sealing element should be selected from 92 degrees to 97 degrees. The higher the hydraulic cylinder pressure, the higher the hardness of the sealing element.

2. The linear speed of the lip of the sealing component must meet O.5 meters/second.

3. The temperature resistance of the sealing component must meet the temperature range of -30 ℃ to 110 ℃. Because the temperature of the lip contact surface of the sealing element is higher than the temperature of the hydraulic oil, the selection of the sealing element must be resistant to high temperatures of 110 ℃; In some places, the temperature is around -30 ℃, so the selection of sealing components should be resistant to low temperatures of -30 ℃.

4. To choose a dedicated seal, such as a shaft seal, only the shaft dedicated seal can be selected. The piston seal can only be selected as a piston specific seal, rather than a shaft and piston dual purpose seal. Because the bottom width of the dual purpose seal is smaller than the bottom width of the dedicated seal. When the hydraulic cylinder is under high pressure, the deformation at the bottom of the dual purpose seal is large, while the special seal has a wider bottom at the same pressure, and the compression deformation is small, reducing the possibility of being squeezed out by the piston rod. A gasket should be added to the bottom of the hydraulic cylinder seal. Why do we need to add washers? What is the hardness of the washers? Due to the pressure of the oil hydraulic cylinder being above 25Mpa, the height of the sealing element determines the amount of deformation at the bottom of the sealing element, which is the size of the extrusion gap. As the gasket also has hardness and deformation, adding the gasket reduces the deformation of the sealing element. When the hydraulic cylinder is under high pressure, the bottom of the hydraulic cylinder reduces the possibility of friction with the piston rod or the inner wall of the hydraulic cylinder, This reduces the probability of damage to the root of the sealing element due to extrusion and strain. The relationship between gasket hardness and pressure is that the greater the pressure, the greater the hardness.
